Pine forests in Ha Tinh province are once again engulfed in fierce fires.
A large-scale forest fire is currently raging in the Nầm mountain area of Sơn Châu commune, Hương Sơn district, Hà Tĩnh province, very close to residential areas.
On July 8th, Mr. Cu Xuan Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Chau commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, confirmed that a forest fire had been discovered in the area. The fire is currently raging fiercely and spreading to other areas.
Accordingly, at around 12 PM on July 8th, residents were shocked to discover a large fire suddenly breaking out in the forest area of Nam Mountain, Son Chau commune.

Upon receiving the report, local authorities and relevant forces, in coordination with the local people, actively participated in controlling the fire.
The Firefighting Team of Huong Son District Police, along with specialized vehicles, were dispatched to the scene to save the forest. However, strong winds, steep mountainous terrain, and narrow roads made it very difficult for the authorities to implement the firefighting plan.

According to our reporter's observations, the fire is still not under control and there is a risk of it spreading to areas in Son Thuy commune. Of particular concern is that this forest area is located next to a residential area, so the local authorities have already made plans to evacuate residents and their belongings from the dangerous zone.

The fire in Son Chau commune has also affected the 35KV power line, causing a temporary power outage throughout Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province.

Reportedly, in recent days, forest fires have continuously occurred in many areas of Ha Tinh province, including Nghi Xuan, Huong Son, Cam Xuyen, Hong Linh, and Duc Tho, affecting hundreds of hectares of forest.
