Construction of the museum began in 1976 and it was inaugurated on September 2, 1979. Designed with the distinctive characteristics of the Thai ethnic group, it has a total floor area of ​​550 square meters, of which 260 square meters are dedicated to exhibition space.

At the museum, artifacts are displayed and arranged thematically and according to historical periods, giving visitors the most complete and comprehensive understanding of the land and people of Phu Quy.
