Springtime in the highlands - Warmth of brotherly love and solidarity.

Attending the program were provincial leaders including: Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and units; and a large number of people from Que Phong commune and neighboring communes.

The "Spring Colors of the Highlands - Warmth of the People" program is a meaningful cultural activity, creating a vibrant highlight in the spring landscape of western Nghe An province. The program aims to spread the spirit of solidarity, unity, and the belief and joy of welcoming the new year among the people of various ethnic groups in the area.

The program includes a variety of activities to meet the essential material and spiritual needs of people in mountainous and highland areas, such as: organizing Tet markets, stalls distributing Tet gifts, making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), folk games; health check-ups, consultations and free distribution of medicine to the people.

At the program, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - presented flowers to express gratitude to the units, organizations, and businesses that have generously supported, shared, and accompanied the "Spring Colors of the Highlands - Warmth of the People" program, bringing an early Tet (Lunar New Year) to the people in the western part of Nghe An province.

In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Van Thanh stated that in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee have adopted a policy of mobilizing the entire political system and society to donate and support the poor during Tet (Lunar New Year) to share their difficulties and ensure that poor households and families entitled to preferential policies can celebrate Tet and enjoy a warm and joyful Spring.

On January 29th, Nghe An province successfully organized the "Lam Dong Solidarity Program - Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026," raising over 172 billion VND from agencies, organizations, the business community, and philanthropists to bring a warm Tet holiday to thousands of poor and disadvantaged households throughout the province.

In the western region of Nghe An province, many major programs and policies of the central and provincial governments have been effectively implemented. Infrastructure has been gradually and comprehensively invested in; the agricultural and forestry economy, ecotourism, and community tourism have seen significant improvements; and national defense and security have been maintained.

The Western region in general, and Que Phong commune in particular, has long been known as a vibrant tapestry, a place of vast natural landscapes, majestic forests, and diverse cultural colors of the Kinh, Thai, Tho, Mong, Kho Mu, and O Du ethnic groups; a land rich in traditions of solidarity and camaraderie, always resilient in overcoming difficulties, and loyal to the Party and the revolution.

Besides the attention and support from Nghe An province, the program has received the responsible and heartfelt cooperation and support of various units, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists, bringing an early spring to the people in the highlands, spreading the spirit of sharing and solidarity during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse, with a total value of over 15 billion VND.

Following the program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Van Thanh requested Que Phong commune to continue to do even better in ensuring social welfare, so that all poor people and those in difficult circumstances in the commune can receive Tet gifts.

Organize activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year in a joyful, enthusiastic, healthy, safe, and economical manner. Lead, direct, and coordinate with armed forces units in the area to ensure security, social order, and firmly protect national sovereignty and border security so that the people can celebrate the Lunar New Year with peace of mind.

At the same time, continue to lead and direct the effective implementation of socio-economic development programs and projects in the commune, promote production development to improve people's lives, and reduce the poverty rate.

Leaders, delegates, and a large number of people enjoyed an artistic space where cultural colors, mountain sounds, and the rhythms of spring blended together, creating a vibrant, warm, and proud springtime scene. The art program consisted of three chapters: Chapter 1: The Flavors of the Mekong Delta; Chapter 2: Warmth of Community; and Chapter 3: A New Day in the Mekong Delta.

The art program vividly recreates the cultural space, life, and spirit of the ethnic communities in the western part of Nghe An province. Through this, people can appreciate the beauty of the highlands, where traditions are preserved, compassion is spread, and aspirations for development are inspired.

Amidst the resounding gongs and melodies rich in cultural identity, on the majestic land of Que Phong, fireworks illuminated the sky for the first time, thanks to the combined efforts of various social resources.

This activity carries profound spiritual significance, not only enriching the cultural and festive activities at the beginning of the year but also demonstrating the province's concern for ethnic minorities in mountainous and remote areas.

At the end of the program, the leaders, delegates, distinguished guests, and all compatriots, comrades, and people joined hands to dance the bamboo pole dance and the Lam Vong dance, strengthening solidarity with the people of the ethnic groups in the western region of Nghe An province.
