Starting from the 2026-2027 school year, the Ministry of Education and Training has decided to select the "Connecting Knowledge with Life" textbook series published by Vietnam Education Publishing House as the unified textbook series for nationwide use.

Currently, many bookstores have begun preparing their supplies for the new school year. Updating the book selection on the shelves gives parents and students more time to research and choose books before the official start of the school year.

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announced that it has completed the revision of textbook content, especially in History, Geography, and Civic Education – subjects that need to be updated to reflect the adjustment of administrative boundaries when transitioning from a three-tiered to a two-tiered government model.

The Ministry of Education and Training's goal is to ensure the full supply of textbooks to schools and teachers, no later than 20 days before the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

The Vietnam Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN) announced that, in fulfillment of its commitment to improving textbook quality while reducing production and distribution costs, the price of textbooks for the 2026-2027 school year, from grades 1 to 12, has been adjusted down by an average of 13.3% compared to the previous school year. This is good news for families with children of school age.

The Ministry of Education and Training stated that teacher training is conducted in a focused manner, concentrating on problematic issues that need to be addressed, avoiding a broad approach. With a solid professional foundation, teachers can teach effectively using different textbooks.

In the coming period, the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to refine and supplement the content according to Resolution 71-NQ/TW. Specifically, it will increase the time allocated to science and technology subjects, innovation, STEM education, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence (AI). Along with this, education in life skills, culture, and arts will also be strengthened to ensure learning outcomes are met without overwhelming students.
