Sacombank awards 55 scholarships to underprivileged students with excellent academic achievements in Nghe An province.
On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024-2025, on the morning of September 5th, Sacombank, in coordination with schools in Nghe An province, awarded 55 scholarships to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies.
Attending the opening ceremony and scholarship awarding were representatives from the leadership of districts, cities, and towns; teachers, parent associations, and a large number of students.

55 scholarships totaling 82.5 million VND were awarded to underprivileged but academically优秀 students in Nghe An province, marking the start of the 2024-2025 school year, as part of the 21st "Nurturing Dreams" scholarship program of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank).
Speaking at the opening ceremony and scholarship awarding event at Cua Lo 2 High School, Mr. Pham Viet Duc - Director of Sacombank - Nghe An Branch, warmly extended his best wishes for the new school year to the teachers and students of the school; and also stated: In 2024, Sacombank will allocate a total of more than 4,000 scholarships, including 3,900 scholarships for students, each worth 1.5 million VND and a backpack.

In addition, students also have the opportunity to win one of the prizes from the "Sacombank Colors" drawing contest, worth up to 5 million VND. Similarly, for university students, there are 45 full scholarships, each worth 75 million VND, and one Gold scholarship worth 100 million VND, along with job opportunities at Sacombank after graduation.
Eligible recipients for this year's scholarship are secondary and high school students in all provinces and cities where Sacombank branches operate; and second-year university students majoring in Economics or Information Technology in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and provinces in the Southwest and North Central regions. Eligibility requirements include achieving a "Good" academic performance in the 2023-2024 school year, having a "Excellent" conduct rating, and a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or higher.
For students, from July to August 2024, Sacombank collaborated with schools nationwide to select over 3,900 eligible students for scholarships. Notably, Sacombank also organized a drawing competition to create a creative playground and further encourage the students' enthusiasm. On the first day of school, September 5th, 2024, Sacombank simultaneously awarded over 3,900 scholarships and 60 prizes to the winners of the drawing competition.

For students, those eligible for scholarships should submit their applications according to the instructions on the website.www.sacombankcareer.comStarting in September 2024, students whose applications are selected will proceed to the "Conquest Round," held in November 2024, through in-person interviews.
From there, Sacombank identified 45 students who met the criteria to receive full scholarships, each worth 25 million VND/year, for three consecutive years until graduation. In addition to the full scholarships, this year Sacombank also offered 80 one-year scholarships, each worth 10 million VND and including a backpack, to eligible students at universities with a long-standing partnership with Sacombank.
The "Nurturing Dreams" scholarship program has become a familiar community service activity organized by Sacombank since 2004, coinciding with the start of the new school year. To date, Sacombank has awarded over 46,300 scholarships with a total budget of nearly 72 billion VND. Besides scholarships, Sacombank also facilitates students' participation in training, orientation, skills development courses, internship programs, and job fairs each year, thereby making a practical contribution to education and providing career development opportunities for the younger generation.
With the motto "Partnering for Development," alongside its business achievements and breakthroughs, Sacombank always considers spreading love and sharing with the community as an important mission. In addition to the "Nurturing Dreams" scholarship program, Sacombank also implements many other meaningful activities throughout the year, such as the "Warmth of Spring" charity program and the "Sharing from the Heart" blood donation campaign.
In particular, the "Steps for the Community" running event, organized by Sacombank in collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Union, has attracted thousands of Sacombank employees and youth union members nationwide across 16 stages, contributing to the successful construction of many community cultural centers for ethnic minorities.
