Samsung has officially confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at 10:00 AM PT on February 25, 2026 (1:00 AM on February 26, 2026 in Vietnam). At this event, the South Korean tech giant will unveil its latest generation of high-end smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series.
Shifting location and focus to Artificial AI
Notably, Samsung has decided to move the Unpacked event from San Jose to San Francisco, USA. The invitations for this year's event feature an artificial intelligence star icon, indicating that Galaxy AI continues to be a core element of the company's product strategy. The biggest software highlight is expected to be the introduction of Agentic AI on the One UI 8.5 platform, a significant step forward from current AI features.
According to the invitation, the new Galaxy S series is designed to simplify everyday interactions and seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence from the moment users hold it in their hands. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and the company's official website.
Configuration analysis and technical upgrades
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature a new generation OLED display with a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. In terms of design, it will retain the Armor Aluminum frame, premium protective glass, and IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The Galaxy S26 Ultra version is rumored to have a privacy screen feature, preventing others from peeking at the displayed content.

Regarding the camera system, while the Ultra version receives significant hardware upgrades, the two standard versions, the Galaxy S26 and S26+, will upgrade the 3x telephoto camera resolution from 10MP to 12MP. The selfie camera on all three models is expected to remain at 12MP.
Release date and price forecast
Sending out invitations also means Samsung is opening the pre-order phase. Traditionally, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to officially go on sale in March 2026. Although there is no official information on pricing yet, the market expects Samsung to maintain a starting price of 22.99 million VND for the standard version, equivalent to its predecessor.
Besides phones, the Unpacked 2026 event is also expected to introduce the new Galaxy Buds 4 headphones, completing the company's smart device ecosystem this year.
