The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has officially launched, marking a major leap forward in the foldable phone line. Its ultra-thin and lightweight design, 200MP camera, and large screen make the Galaxy Z Fold 7 a highly desirable flagship device.
On July 9, 2025, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event held in New York, Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the latest generation in its foldable phone line.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung's thinnest and lightest foldable phone to date, weighing only 215g – lighter than even the Galaxy S25 Ultra (218g). When folded, it measures 8.9mm, and when unfolded, it's just 4.2mm thick, surpassing the S25 Ultra in terms of slimness.
Samsung has optimized the hinge structure, using new glass materials and an Armor Aluminum frame, resulting in durability and a luxurious feel.
The square, masculine design inherited from the Z Fold 6 is further refined in the Z Fold 7, suitable for users who appreciate strength and modernity. The device comes in four trendy color options: Navy Blue, Mint Green, Metallic Black, and Metallic Silver.
The improved teardrop hinge helps reduce the crease on the main screen, although it doesn't completely eliminate the crease like some competitors such as OPPO or Honor. However, the premium build quality and smooth folding and unfolding feel remain strong points of the Z Fold 7.
Screen: Bigger, brighter, more durable
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts an impressively upgraded display system. The 6.5-inch outer screen has a FHD+ (2520 x 1080) resolution, supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2600 nits, and is wider than the Z Fold 6 (64.9mm compared to 59.9mm), providing a more comfortable typing and operation experience. The main inner screen is 8 inches, with a QHD+ (2184 x 1968) resolution, also supporting 120Hz and 2600 nits.
To enhance durability, Samsung uses next-generation Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) with a Grade 4 Titanium mesh for the main display, combined with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for the outer screen and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the back. These improvements ensure long-lasting durability and a sharp visual experience.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, currently the most powerful, ensuring smooth handling of all tasks from multitasking to playing graphically intensive games. It comes with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options, meeting all storage needs.

The battery capacity remains at 4400mAh, but Samsung has optimized the hardware and software to improve battery life. The cooling system with a larger vapor chamber helps maintain stable performance. However, the 25W fast charging is still a limitation compared to some competitors.

For the first time, the Z Fold series receives a powerful camera upgrade with a 200MP main sensor from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, delivering superior image quality. The rear camera system includes:
