Samsung launches Exynos 5410: The perfect 5G chip for the Galaxy S26.
The Exynos 5410 5G modem, boasting speeds of 14.79Gbps and satellite voice calling capabilities, is a key component accompanying the 2nm Exynos 2600 chip in the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung has officially unveiled the Exynos 5410 5G modem, a separate connectivity solution specifically designed to work with the Exynos 2600 processor. This is considered a strategic move, as the Exynos 2600 SoC – Samsung's first 2nm chip – does not integrate a modem internally to optimize space and processing performance.
Power from the 4nm process and record download speeds.
Unlike the main processor, which uses a 2nm process, the Exynos 5410 modem is manufactured using Samsung Foundry's 4nm FinFET process. Even so, this component still delivers superior energy efficiency compared to its predecessors, helping to extend battery life when using high-speed data networks.
In terms of connectivity, the Exynos 5410 is fully compatible with both 5G mmWave and sub-6GHz bands. The most notable highlight is its maximum download speed, which can reach 14.79Gbps. In addition, the modem maintains support for traditional mobile networks from 2G, 3G to 4G LTE, ensuring seamless connectivity under all infrastructure conditions.

A breakthrough in comprehensive satellite communications.
One of the most significant upgrades on the Exynos 5410 is the addition of LTE DTC (Direct-to-Cell) satellite connectivity, alongside the two existing standards from the previous generation: NB-IoT NTN and NR-NTN. This change provides stronger two-way communication capabilities in areas without cellular coverage.
