The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the study and agreement on a plan to extend the runway at Vinh Airport.

In order to accommodate and operate wide-body, long-haul aircraft such as the Boeing 787, 777, and Airbus A350, the runway at Vinh Airport needs to be extended to 3,000 meters.
