From May 12th to 19th, 2025, the Lotus Village Festival will be held on a national scale in Vinh City and Nam Dan District, celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth. To prepare for this important event, the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site, in coordination with relevant agencies, has actively implemented preparatory work, beautifying the grounds and improving facilities, all aimed at ensuring a successful and meaningful festival.
To ensure thorough preparation for the particularly important event of the 2025 Lotus Village Festival – the inauguration of the "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown" Monument (located at the Lotus Village stadium, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district) – the Management Board of the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site has effectively coordinated with relevant units to ensure progress and create a solemn and meaningful space to welcome compatriots and tourists attending the festival. According to Mr. Le Xuan Chung, Head of the General Administration Department of the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site, the assignment of tasks for organizing the 2025 Lang Sen Festival, inaugurating the "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown" monument, and celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), as issued by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is as follows:The Kim Lien Special National Historical Site has seven main tasks: organizing decorations and propaganda, ensuring environmental hygiene and security in the historical site area; coordinating with units to implement the "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown" statue project at Lang Sen Stadium, Kim Lien commune, and other activities for the statue's inauguration ceremony; developing a script for the flower and incense offering ceremony and reporting achievements to Uncle Ho at the memorial house and Chung Son temple; organizing a thematic exhibition about Uncle Ho; coordinating with the Ho Chi Minh Museum to organize exhibition and experiential activities at the historical site; guiding and serving the people and visitors in offering flowers and incense at the historical site; and carrying out other tasks assigned by the department's leadership and the Organizing Committee when necessary. These tasks are currently 95% complete. It is expected that 100% of the work will be completed by May 13th, ensuring the best conditions for the festival and welcoming visitors to explore and experience the site.
