Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, Head of the Agriculture Department of Yen Thanh district, said: This spring crop, Yen Thanh planted over 13,500 hectares of rice, over 1,000 hectares of various vegetables, of which over 60% were hybrid varieties, the rest were high-quality pure varieties such as BT09, NA6, Kinh Bac aromatic... The district's agricultural materials company has supplied 800/1,500 tons of various fertilizers to the communes; Yen Thanh seed station also ensured over 100 tons of various rice seeds, supplied over 60 tons of plastic to cover seedlings and supplied enough amount of plant protection drugs.

This year's spring crop in Do Luong district, the demand for materials to meet the spring crop production in the area requires about 200 tons of rice seeds, nearly 5,000 tons of various NPK fertilizers to serve the production of more than 7,000 hectares of rice, 1,100 hectares of peanuts, and 1,400 hectares of corn.

The district is directing the Farmers' Association, Agricultural Service Cooperatives to coordinate with enterprises and supply agents to ensure the supply of sufficient varieties and quality of seeds and fertilizers to farmers according to the district's structure. The district's agricultural supply station has gathered over 1,000 tons of fertilizers to supply to communes. The plant seed station has prepared 40 tons of various rice seeds, over 20 tons of plastic to cover seedlings...

As for Tan Ky district, this spring crop planted more than 4,000 hectares of rice, 2,000 hectares of corn, 1,100 hectares of vegetables, and 7,000 hectares of sugarcane. The demand for fertilizer required nearly 15,000 tons of fertilizer, 250 tons of rice and corn seeds.

Up to this point, fertilizer suppliers in the area have reached over 1,500 tons of fertilizer, 50 tons of corn and rice seeds. Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company alone has found 35,000 tons of sugarcane seeds for people to plant new crops. The factory has prepared 8,390 tons of fertilizer for early-season loans and payment at the end of the season.

In Thanh Chuong district, the district's agricultural materials company has brought in over 1,500 tons of fertilizer/2,000 tons of KH; the district seed station has supplied 50 tons/220 tons of rice, corn and peanut seeds.

At this time, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation is both producing and transporting fertilizers and rice seeds to localities. The company has supplied over 17,000 tons/30,000 tons of fertilizer to localities, with prices stable compared to previous years. Regarding the policy mechanism, the company supplies fertilizers to the grassroots and allows payment by the end of the crop on June 30 without interest.

This winter-spring crop, the whole province planted over 85,000 hectares of rice, 20,000 hectares of corn, 15,000 hectares of peanuts, requiring nearly 100,000 tons of various fertilizers and nearly 800 tons of rice seeds.

Through surveys at agricultural cooperatives and agricultural material trading enterprises, all determined that the supply of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides in this production season is relatively abundant, with prices stable compared to previous production seasons.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requires localities to restructure rice varieties for the 2016 Spring crop in the direction of gradually increasing the area of ​​pure rice and high-quality rice. For corn varieties, each locality selects no more than 03 hybrid corn varieties and 02 waxy corn varieties. Only use varieties in the restructure list according to the 2016 Spring crop production organization project of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

In addition, localities coordinate well with the Department of Industry and Trade to strengthen the quality management of inorganic fertilizers, seeds, and plant protection equipment, and strictly handle cases of supplying counterfeit and poor quality products.
