Vinh Stadium has not been renovated yet, SLNA has 2 new injuries
(Baonghean.vn) - SLNA is one of the teams that did not "break camp" during the suspension of V.League 2020. Coach Ngo Quang Truong and his team maintained 2 training sessions/day to be ready for any situation. However, the team has just had 2 more injuries.
While the V.League 2020 has not yet set a return date, the issue of upgrading the field surface is of great concern to Vietnamese fans. The Vinh Stadium grass surface is not of guaranteed quality, which has a significant impact on the players every time they practice and compete.
Immediately, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company - VPF sent an official dispatch to SLNA Club on March 23, requesting that the problem be resolved soon during the V.League's temporary break, otherwise Vinh Stadium will not be qualified to host matches when the tournament returns.

In this situation, the leader of SLNA Club said that he had contacted a sports unit to ask for support for the renovation in the coming time. According to the investigation, the Vinh stadium renovation project is included in the plan of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. In addition to the funding issue, the Vinh stadium renovation project, including the grass surface and upgrading the lighting system, also depends on the competition plan and may have to wait until 2021.
Recently, coach Ngo Quang Truong and his team have had to constantly change training grounds, from artificial turf to the natural grass field of the youth team and have only recently returned to practice at Vinh Stadium. This has caused SLNA to have two more injuries: goalkeeper Nguyen Van Hoang and center back Hoang Van Khanh.
In recent training sessions, goalkeeper Nguyen Van Hoang was injured and could only practice maintaining his fitness outside the pitch. Meanwhile, center back Hoang Van Khanh suffered a muscle strain and is expected to need about a week to practice again.

Foreign player Peter Onyekachi also suffered a muscle strain similar to Hoang Van Khanh and was absent from the friendly match against Hong Linh Ha Tinh. Fortunately for coach Ngo Quang Truong, this player was able to return to training.
The poor pitch has greatly affected SLNA's preparation for V.League 2020. Previously, a foreign central defender on trial from Nigeria was signed by the Nghe An team on a preliminary contract but was injured right before the season started, forcing SLNA's coaching staff to register Gustavo Santos as a replacement.

If V.League 2020 is canceled, how will it affect Vietnamese football?
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, Mr. Nguyen Hup - Chairman of Quang Nam Club said that in the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, V.League 2020 should be canceled. Currently, VPF has not responded to this opinion.
