Morning of May 13th: 35 more positive cases; many localities temporarily suspend issuing citizen identity cards.

The Ministry of Health reported 35 new positive cases of nCoV on the morning of May 13, including:33 domestic casesThe cases were detected in areas where quarantine and social distancing measures were in place.
The new cases were recorded from number 3624-3658, including 33 domestic cases: 1 at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, 22 in Da Nang, 3 in Bac Ninh, 3 in Hanoi, 2 in Vinh Phuc, and 2 in Bac Giang.

Twenty-two patients in Da Nang (BN3636-BN3657) are close contacts (F1) related to a previous outbreak and have been isolated. Test results on May 9th showed these patients were positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, the patients are being isolated and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital and Hoa Vang Medical Center.

To date, Da Nang has 4 outbreaks, including Phu An Hotel (2 cases); New Phuong Dong nightclub (19 cases); AMIDA Beauty Salon (45 cases); and Truong Minh Company (36 cases). Authorities have established 9 medical quarantine zones; 35 soft lockdown areas and 64 points and areas with restricted access.

On the afternoon of May 12th, speaking at a meeting of the City's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang stated that the locality is in the highest state of implementing epidemic prevention and control measures, and therefore requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to thoroughly understand the spirit of proactiveness, decisiveness, and urgency in completing essential tasks.

Due to the complex epidemic situation, on May 12th, Da Nang City and Thua Thien Hue province temporarily suspended the issuance of citizen identification cards to conduct a comprehensive review of eligibility and ensure the safety of officials and citizens. Prior to this, Bac Ninh province also decided to temporarily suspend the issuance of citizen identification cards to combat the epidemic.

Thus, the total number of community infections from April 27th to date is 644, recorded in 26 provinces and cities. Specifically, Hanoi has 166 cases (including 87 at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases and 13 at K Hospital), Bac Ninh 127, Da Nang 102, Bac Giang 83, Vinh Phuc 75, Hung Yen 20, Ha Nam 17, Thai Binh 9, Hai Duong 7, Lang Son 6, Hoa Binh 5, Thua Thien Hue 4, Quang Nam 3, Quang Tri 3, Nam Dinh 3, Dak Lak 2, Dien Bien 2, Phu Tho 2, Dong Nai, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, and Yen Bai each have 1 case.
