Shining brightly in the New Rural Development movement.
Making a strong impression on every delegate attending the Congress was the ceremony honoring and celebrating exemplary individuals in the "Nationwide efforts to build new rural areas" emulation movement, which took place on the afternoon of December 6th.
The exemplary individuals honored at this Congress have achieved exceptionally outstanding results in the emulation movement "The whole country joins forces to build new rural areas," launched in 2011 by Comrade Nguyen Tan Dung - Member of the Political Bureau, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council. These timely recognitions and awards are invaluable rewards, serving as strong encouragement and motivation for the most exemplary collectives nationwide who have made positive contributions to changing the face of Vietnamese rural areas in the era of integration.
The Party Committee and people of Nghe An are honored and proud to have a shining example recognized at the ceremony and awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh: Son Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district), the first commune in Nghe An province to achieve the New Rural Area status.

This is a highlight affirming the strong movements and great results of the emulation movement to build New Rural Areas throughout Nghe An province, contributing positively to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
Unable to conceal his excitement and emotion at being chosen to represent Son Thanh commune in receiving this great honor, delegate Nguyen Tri Hoa - Secretary of the Son Thanh Commune Party Committee - said:
“We have received guidance and support from Party and State leaders at all levels, as well as provincial leaders; and have achieved high consensus among all segments of the population. The people of Son Thanh understand that building new rural areas serves their own interests, so they actively participate in effective emulation campaigns. Receiving the Prime Minister's Certificate of Commendation is a great honor and an encouragement for Son Thanh to continue striving to become a model rural area of the province and the whole country before 2020.”
"Fan to make the movement stronger"

| "Fans for a stronger movement" - an image that reminds us of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation 67 years ago. |
As the first day of the 9th National Congress of Patriotic Emulation concluded, the image that resonated most deeply in the hearts of each delegate was the feeling of reliving the historic moments when President Ho Chi Minh delivered the speech launching the patriotic emulation movement 67 years ago.
Since President Ho Chi Minh gifted a fan to Hoang Dao Thuy, Secretary General of the Patriotic Emulation Movement, along with the instruction, "Use this fan to strengthen the movement," the image of the fan has become a symbol of the development of patriotic emulation movements of our people throughout the long history, and will live on forever in the minds of Vietnamese people who are striving and competing for today and for the future.
