The Ministry of Education and Training has accelerated the announcement of national high school exam results, releasing them one day earlier than planned. The Ministry announced the results for 24 localities first because they submitted their data early and completed the comparison process. These include Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong City, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau...

The remaining provinces and cities will have their scores cross-referenced by the Ministry and announced today.

According to the regulations on university and college admissions for teacher training programs, after the results of the national high school graduation exam are announced, candidates are allowed to adjust their application preferences once, from July 15th to July 23rd. Deputy Minister of Education Bui Van Ga advised candidates to remain calm and consider the score distribution before making any adjustments.

"Previously, students predicted a score of 20 points and registered for several preferences at levels higher, equal to, and lower than 20 points. If the exam score is within the 19.5-20.5 range, there's no need to adjust. This year, the admission principle is based on scores, not preferences. A candidate who registers for preference 10 but has a higher score than a candidate who registers for preference 1 will still be admitted," the Deputy Minister explained.

The Ministry of Education is expected to announce the minimum university admission scores by July 14th. A day later, 140 universities and colleges that use the national high school graduation exam results for admissions will announce their entrance thresholds. Approximately 200 other institutions will use various other methods to recruit students.
