This morning, the 14th National Congress of the Party opened.

The Congress was held under the motto: "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development" and the theme: "Under the glorious banner of the Party, working together to successfully achieve the national development goals by 2030; strategic autonomy, self-reliance, self-confidence, and strong progress in the era of national development, for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steadily advancing towards socialism."

The Presidium of the Congress consists of 16 members of the Politburo of the 13th term; the Secretariat consists of 5 members and the Committee for Verifying the Credentials of Delegates to the Congress consists of 13 members.

The delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee attending the congress consisted of 33 delegates, including 30 official delegates from the province and 3 delegates who were Central Committee members assigned by the Politburo to participate in the Youth Union activities. Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, led the delegation.

According to the program, the Congress will hear and discuss important documents: the Political Report of the 13th Central Committee of the Party presented to the 14th National Congress of Delegates; the Report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented Renovation process in Vietnam over the past 40 years; the Report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011-2025) and proposing directions for supplementing and amending the Party Charter; and the Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the 13th Central Committee of the Party.

The 14th National Congress of the Party is a momentous political event, marking the beginning of a new era of national development.

With a foundation built on 40 years of reform, innovative thinking, a long-term vision, and strong political determination, the 14th National Congress is expected to make historic decisions, creating a powerful impetus for Vietnam to move strongly into an era of prosperous development, steadily advancing towards socialism.

Earlier, at the preparatory session on the morning of January 19, the Congress unanimously approved the Preparatory Session Program, the Rules of Procedure of the Congress, the Congress Work Program, and the Election Regulations for the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Congress unanimously approved the Report on the Verification of the Credentials of Delegates to the 14th National Congress of the Party, presented by the Credentials Verification Committee. Accordingly, all 1,586 delegates summoned to attend the Congress are deemed eligible to be delegates.
