Currently, in Con Cuong district, there are 255 hectares concentrated in Yen Khe, Bong Khe and Chi Khe communes. Of which, Yen Khe commune has 192 hectares. |

Con Cuong oranges are mainly grown with Valencia and Van Du varieties. Orange yield is about 25 tons/ha. |

According to the Project to promote branding for typical products of Con Cuong district in the period of 2016 - 2020, by 2020 the area will be expanded to 450 hectares, mainly concentrated in the communes of Yen Khe, Chi Khe, Bong Khe, Thach Ngan, Don Phuc, Mau Duc, Chau Khe, Luc Da. Notably, orange growers, with the attention of local authorities, have boldly applied scientific and technical advances in planting and caring for orange trees. |

Along with increasing the economic value from developing orange growing areas, Con Cuong District People's Committee also promotes the development of orange growing models according to VietGAP standards. |

In particular, there are currently 5 orange growing households in Con Cuong supported by JICA (Japan) to participate in the orange juice production project. Accordingly, Con Cuong oranges will have products such as orange juice and orange wine. According to the project progress, by the 2017 harvest season, orange juice products will be born. |
