Construction scaffolding collapses, 2 casualties.

Two workers were constructing a 21-story building at Dat Gia Residence on Cay Keo Street (Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City) when the scaffolding collapsed, killing one of them.

According to initial information, at approximately 5 PM on April 18th, a labor accident occurred at a construction site for a 21-story resettlement housing project located on Cay Keo Street (Tam Phu Ward, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City), resulting in two casualties.

The incident caused two workers to fall from a great height to the ground; one died instantly.

Accordingly, the initial victims were identified as Mr. Vo Van D. (25 years old, residing in Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City, deceased) and Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh Tam (24 years old, residing in An Giang Province) who suffered serious injuries.

According to residents, at around that time, a loud noise was heard coming from the vacant lot behind the building. Many people went to investigate and discovered two victims lying motionless.

Shortly afterward, law enforcement arrived to conduct an examination and investigate the cause.

The victims were quickly taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but Mr. D. had already died.

Based on observation, the scaffolding where these two workers were working was quite crudely constructed on the 9th floor of the construction site using thin metal sheets.

The investor of the aforementioned housing project is Dat Gia Housing Consulting & Trading Co., Ltd. - which has not yet provided specific information regarding the incident.

Upon receiving the information, local authorities quickly arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, investigated the cause, and handled the incident.

Reportedly, the Dat Gia Residence apartment project comprises 3 towers, with 2 basement levels and a total area of ​​approximately 27,000 m².², with a total of 1,034 apartments.
