Landslide in Que Phong district: 26 households, 126 people urgently evacuated.
This afternoon and evening, September 23rd, Que Phong district will continue the emergency relocation of 26 households, comprising 126 people, from dangerous landslide areas.

Mr. Phan Trong Dung, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Que Phong district, said: Continuous heavy rains have caused landslides in Que Phong district, with soil and rocks flooding down and damaging houses of some households in Thong Thu and Cam Muon communes.

On the afternoon and evening of September 23rd, Que Phong district, in coordination with other forces, continued the emergency relocation of 26 households (126 people) from dangerous landslide areas. These included 16 households in Thong Thu commune, 5 in Tri Le, 2 in Cam Muon, 1 in Hanh Dich, and 2 in Quang Phong.



Mr. Bui Van Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Que Phong district, said: Que Phong district is directing localities to continue inspecting and reviewing landslide areas to warn people and to be ready to mobilize forces and have plans for timely relocation to ensure the safety of the people.
