Following the flash floods, landslides occurred in Ky Son.

(Baonghean.vn) – Besides flash floods sweeping away houses and bridges, Ky Son district continues to suffer damage from landslides caused by prolonged heavy rain.

In Nam Can commune, landslides have occurred in many places in recent days, from the mountains down to roads and houses. In Truong Son and Khanh Thanh villages, the landslides have caused significant damage, forcing more than 5 households to relocate.

In Tay Son commune, specifically in Huoi Giang 3 village, a large mass of soil and rocks slid down from the mountain, causing a serious road blockage, making it impossible for vehicles to pass. Reporters observed that on July 22nd, the Muong Xen – Tay Son road remained cut off by the landslide.

Besides the two aforementioned areas, landslides have also occurred in several communes along National Highway 7, such as Chieu Luu and Huu Kiem.

Earlier, on the evening of July 21st, heavy rain upstream caused streams in Ta Ca commune to rise. Immediately afterwards, flash floods swept away 9 houses and 2 motorbikes belonging to residents in Nhan Cu and Nhan Ly villages, and flooded and threatened landslides in 2 houses in Canh village (both in Ta Ca commune).
