(Baonghean.vn) - After residents and Nghe An Newspaper reported that the traffic lights at Nam Cam intersection were not working, authorities intervened and the lights are now back to normal operation.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho - Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said: After Nghe An Newspaper reported the news, we immediately directed Nghi Long Commune and coordinated with Nghi Loc Electricity to turn on the power normally. In the near future, the district will agree on a plan to pay for electricity to avoid this situation.

Mr. Phung Ba Trung - Director of Nghi Loc Electricity said: Yesterday (March 22), Nghi Long commune officials came to Nghi Loc Electricity headquarters to pay the electricity bill, so we turned the power back on normally. Before that, because the district and commune had not agreed on a payment plan, leading to many months of unpaid electricity bills, we were forced to cut off the power.

According to the reporter's observation, after the traffic lights at Nam Cam intersection were turned back on, traffic was no longer chaotic, vehicles passing through here all slowed down, and there was no longer any jostling on the road or running red lights.

Previously, on March 20, Nghe An Newspaper published an article: "Traffic lights "fall asleep", Nam Cam intersection on National Highway 1A returns to "death" point", reflecting that the traffic lights are not working because Nghi Loc district is currently short of electricity to pay for traffic lights in this area, so Nghi Loc Electricity has cut off the power.
