According to the head of the German government, Berlin will act in a way that avoids further escalation of the conflict.
"US President Joe Biden has made this issue clear: he said he would not supply weapons but would fire them into Russian territory. I think all other countries must follow this principle. We do not act alone and will always be guided by what our allies are doing," - Mr. Scholz said.
Earlier, Mr. Scholz said that Germany would continue to supply weapons to Ukraine and reiterated the decision announced by the government to transfer Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, howitzers and Iris-T air defense systems equipped with special radar systems to Kiev.
