Sharing with those in particularly difficult circumstances through the "Lam River Tribute" program.
During the "Lam River Solidarity" program held on January 29th, Cua Dong General Hospital provided support to three particularly disadvantaged individuals. In these days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), that commitment has been fulfilled with practical gifts, bringing warmth to those in dire straits.
Three families, three tragic fates.
This winter seems longer for families struggling with illness and poverty:
- Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huong (nearly 80 years old, Bich Hao commune):For over 10 years, her life has begun at 4 a.m. at the brick factory. At her advanced age, she remains the sole breadwinner supporting four children suffering from mental illness.

- Mr. Vu Nenh Thong (Muong Long commune):In a misty "gateway to heaven," an elderly couple is struggling to raise their three orphaned grandchildren. Their father is dead, their mother abandoned them, and the future of these children in the highlands remains a big question mark.

- Mr. Vi Van Ngu (Tan Ky commune):Tragedy piled upon tragedy when the husband required regular dialysis, while the wife suffered a stroke resulting in paralysis. Their only house had to be sold to pay for medical expenses, and now the elderly couple rely on each other in a poor rented room in Vinh Phu ward.

From commitment to heartfelt acts of sharing.
Understanding their suffering, in the live television program "The Compassion of the Lam River" on January 29th, Cua Dong General Hospital stepped forward to provide special support to these three individuals. Without making them wait long, in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, the hospital's leadership, the Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, and the local authorities personally visited their homes and hospital beds to deliver their heartfelt support.

Each family received a gift package worth 20 million VND in cash along with essential necessities. The total direct support amounted to 60 million VND.

At each location, representatives from the hospital and coordinating agencies (Nghe An Newspaper & Radio, Television, Fatherland Front at all levels) kindly visited and encouraged the families. For them, this money was not only for medicine and living expenses but also a "miracle" to have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday after years of hardship.

The journey of "The Compassion of the Lam River" is not just a story of numbers, but a testament to the spirit of mutual support and compassion, affirming the commitment of businesses and media organizations to sustainably support the community.
