All wastewater currently flowing into the ditch around the city is collected through the gas separation system into the surrounding sewer line and brought to the Cua Nam lake drainage pumping station.
The project will be completed in the first quarter of 2017 with the main items: Dredging, building retaining walls along both banks of the canal, building a sewer line to collect wastewater, building a new canal inside the Citadel and a canal outside the Citadel, building 6 discharge gates and 6 wastewater separation manholes.
To separate domestic wastewater from residential areas outside from flowing into the ditch around the Citadel, along the length of the ditch around the Citadel, a sewer line with a diameter of DN300-D800 was built to collect wastewater to a newly built wastewater pumping station with a capacity of 3,100 m3.3/day/night at Cua Nam Lake.
Construct a new canal inside the Citadel to collect wastewater from households and rainwater along the walking path. At the discharge points of this canal, wastewater separation wells will be built to discharge into the outer sewer.

After the project is completed, the moat will combine with the Vinh Citadel gate to become an attractive tourist destination. |
The project also builds a new canal outside the Citadel to collect wastewater from households and rainwater along the walking path. At the discharge points of this canal, wastewater separation wells will be built to discharge into the surrounding sewer at the nearest manhole location.
