The stunning Lamborghini Centenario has an exorbitant price tag in China.

In the Chinese market, the Lamborghini Centenario supercar has a starting price of up to 19 million Yuan, equivalent to 2.6 million USD or 61.8 billion VND, due to import tax policies.

Lamborghini plans to produce only 40 Centenario models, evenly divided between coupe and convertible versions.

At the recent Guangzhou Auto Show 2016, Lamborghini officially introduced the Centenario supercar to Chinese consumers. At this event, Lamborghini also announced the price of the Centenario in China.

Accordingly, in the Chinese market, the Lamborghini Centenario has a starting price of 19 million Yuan, equivalent to 2.6 million USD or 61.8 billion VND. Thus, compared to the car in overseas markets, the Lamborghini Centenario in China is significantly more expensive. In the European market, the Lamborghini Centenario has a starting price of 1.75 million Euros, equivalent to 1.9 million USD or 42.4 billion VND.

The reason the Lamborghini Centenario is so expensive is due to tax policies in China. It is known that in China, imported cars are subject to three different taxes: a 25% import tax, a 17% VAT, and a 0-40% special consumption tax, depending on engine displacement. Imported cars with engines of 4.0 liters or more are subject to a 40% special consumption tax.

The Lamborghini Centenario features a body made entirely of carbon fiber, resulting in a weight of only 1,520 kg.

The Lamborghini Centenario is a masterpiece that first debuted at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The Centenario is a supercar created to celebrate the 100th birthday of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini. It is also the most powerful Lamborghini supercar ever produced.

The exterior design of the Lamborghini Centenario reminds many of a more aggressive and sporty version of the Aventador SV. Equipped with a body entirely made of carbon fiber, the Lamborghini Centenario weighs only 1,520 kg. As a result, this new Lamborghini model boasts a weight-to-power ratio of just 1.97 kg/horsepower.

The bodywork of the Lamborghini Centenario wasn't simply redesigned to look more aggressive. More than that, the bodywork of the Lamborghini Centenario also features a more aerodynamic design. Lamborghini equipped the Centenario with a large, extended rear wing to increase downforce at high speeds.

The heart of the Lamborghini Centenario is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, similar to the one in the Aventador.

The interior of the Lamborghini Centenario has also been significantly redesigned. The center console features a massive 10.1-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and web browsing. More importantly, the integrated telematics software will be highly effective when the car is on the racetrack.

The car also has two cameras to record all the activities of the Lamborghini Centenario. Under the hood is a storage compartment with enough space for two helmets.

Furthermore, Lamborghini has equipped the Centenario with rear-wheel steering and an upgraded engine. The heart of the Lamborghini Centenario is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, similar to the Aventador. However, this engine produces a maximum power of 770 horsepower, allowing the Lamborghini Centenario to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.

The Lamborghini Centenario accelerates from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds, while reaching a top speed of over 350 km/h. Furthermore, the Lamborghini Centenario can decelerate from 100-0 km/h in just over 30 meters. The distance required to decelerate from 300-0 km/h is 290 meters.
