Late last year, Taiwan's Xing Mobility introduced the Miss R, which uses an electric powertrain as a chassis. And recently, Xing has released new images of the Miss R in a more complete form. |
The test footage of the inspiring Miss R concept was released at the AutoTronics Taipei 2018 show, where the company is showcasing the vehicle's modular battery system, and where Xing Mobility is also introducing its new 2.5-ton electric truck. |
The video shows the Miss R testing on the track and off-road in a relatively complete form, allowing it to escape its test mule form and take on the new look of a concept car. |
Xing said the most recent tests, conducted in February at an undisclosed location, provided useful information about the car’s durability, handling, suspension, power delivery, and performance. Four V350 motors and a 1-megawatt battery pack allowed the car to hit 60 mph in 1.8 seconds, faster than Tesla’s 2020 Roadster. |
Miss R's battery is made up of 98 modules for a total of 4,116 lithium-ion battery cells that are directly immersed in 3M's Novec 7200 technical fluid to cool the battery, and it only takes 5 minutes for users to replace the entire battery on the vehicle. |
“Miss R is not just a hobby, but also an R&D platform from which Xing Mobility can innovate cutting-edge electric vehicle technology,” said founder and CEO Hong Yujun. Xing said it is working with commercial and industrial partners around the world to apply its technology to city bus systems, ride-sharing services, construction equipment and vessels, and transport vehicles. |
