On the morning of May 30, the Management Board of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve held a workshop to contribute ideas on operating regulations and implement a 10-year periodic assessment (2017-2027), and development orientation for the period 2027-2037.

Promoting the role of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve

On September 18, 2007, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially recognized 9 mountainous districts in the West of Nghe An province as a World Biosphere Reserve (WBR) with a total area of nearly 1.3 million hectares.
Protecting and promoting the natural heritage values of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve

Contributing ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the Management Board of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve, representatives of departments, branches and localities proposed many practical ideas to continue to protect and effectively promote the value of the province's natural heritage; especially implementing livelihood models under the forest canopy.
