18-year-old student crowned Miss England 2018
Alisha Cowie beat 49 other contestants to become Great Britain's representative at Miss World later this year.

The Miss England 2018 final took place on September 5th at Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire, with 50 contestants participating. Alisha Cowie, representing Newcastle, was crowned Miss England. She received the crown from Miss England 2017, Stephanie Hill. |

Alisha Cowie is 18 years old and 1.73m tall. In the charity segment of the competition, she raised over $25,000 for "Smiles for Nepal," a charity that raises awareness about oral hygiene and supports dentists in surgery. |

Alisha was also awarded the "Miss Talent" prize for performing a song in sign language. Alisha has hearing loss in her right ear. |
