Episode 5 of the New Generation of Students: Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance and Lac Hong University face off. The 'slow fashion' and 'connecting with fishermen' projects will determine which team advances.
Episode 5 of the "New Generation Students" program will be a thrilling showdown between two teams from the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF) and Lac Hong University. In the Sports and Talent Arena round, the two universities will present highly practical projects: a solution for the fast fashion industry and a digital platform for fishermen.
Two projects, two different visions.
The Lac Hong University team presented their project "Borderwwave - A Seafood Connection System for Fishermen." This is a digital platform designed to directly connect fishermen with buyers, aiming to increase transparency in the seafood supply chain. According to the student team, this project not only helps trace the origin of products but also contributes to supporting Vietnam in removing the IUU "yellow card" (against illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing).
Meanwhile, the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City presented the project "Preserving Genetic Values - Slowing Down Fast Fashion." This project focuses on community communication to minimize the negative impacts of the fast fashion industry. The group's goal is to encourage consumers to shop smarter, use sustainable products, and participate in creative recycling, thereby contributing to environmental protection.
Challenges and opportunities
In the competition, teams not only present their ideas but also must demonstrate the feasibility and growth potential of their projects in a "real-world" environment. Each team must defend their project and propose an investment figure they deem worthwhile.
The results of this round are crucial because, after all the Southern region groups have finished, the team with the lowest total points will be eliminated. Therefore, the pressure and competition are at their peak.
