SLNA signs striker Ganiyu Oseni, parts ways with Basit.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to official information from SLNA Club, Nigerian striker Oseni has officially agreed to join the Nghe An club. At the same time, the Vinh-based team also parted ways with striker Abdul Basit.
This season, SLNA aims to finish in the top 3 of the V.League. However, after two rounds, the team from Vinh has only earned 3 points and scored 2 goals. Therefore, SLNA urgently needs a high-caliber foreign player to put pressure on the opposing team's defense.

Striker Oseni is a foreign player who has proven his abilities while playing for Hanoi FC. In 2018, the striker born in 1991 was the top scorer in the National Championship with 17 goals. That same year, the Nigerian player played a major role in helping Hanoi FC win the V.League championship.
In 2018, Oseni was voted the best foreign player in the V.League. Unfortunately, in 2019, the striker born in 1991 unexpectedly suffered an injury and had to say goodbye to the Hanoi team to move to play in the Armenian National League.
In the past, Oseni was one of Nigeria's most promising players. He helped the African U17 team win the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2007. Notably, Oseni was also selected for the tournament's All-Star team.

SLNA welcomes striker Oseni, while also bidding farewell to striker Basit. In two matches, the player wearing number 11 scored one goal for the Nghe An team. However, in the home match against Binh Dinh in round 2, the striker did not perform well and did not contribute much to SLNA.
On the other hand, Basit's playing style is similar to Olaha's, often operating widely, but he's not a player who poses a significant threat in the opponent's penalty area. Therefore, parting ways with this player is a fairly reasonable decision by the SLNA coaching staff.
