SLNA is looking forward to the return of former players for the new season.
These are all players who were once highly anticipated at SLNA. However, the 2023-2024 season was a forgettable one for them. Therefore, these players will have to work very hard to make a comeback and shine in the 2024-2025 season.
Central defender Ho Khac Luong
In the 2023-2024 season, center-back Ho Khac Luong was expected to be one of the pillars of Song Lam Nghe An's defense. However, in the second round of matches, the 23-year-old suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear, forcing him to miss the entire season. After a long period of treatment, the player from Quynh Luu has fully recovered and is ready for the new season.

With years of experience playing for the first team and the qualities needed to play as a central defender, Ho Khac Luong's return will be a crucial addition to coach Pham Anh Tuan's squad. Hopefully, center-back Ho Khac Luong will soon regain his form and match fitness to help strengthen Song Lam Nghe An's defense this season.
Defender Ho Van Cuong
The 2023-2024 season was a disappointing one for young defender Ho Van Cuong. The player, born in 2002, only made 13 appearances for the police team, mostly from the bench. This contributed to hindering the progress of defender Ho Van Cuong's career.

After his loan contract ended, the 22-year-old defender was delighted to return and play for Song Lam Nghe An. Wearing the Nghe An team's jersey, Ho Van Cuong would get more playing time, allowing him to utilize his existing strengths to help strengthen Song Lam Nghe An's flanks.
Especially now that Song Lam Nghe An has parted ways with the duo Mai Sy Hoang and Nguyen Van Viet, the return of Ho Van Cuong promises to bring a fresh perspective to the attacking plays on the flanks for the Vinh-based team.
Midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien
Midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien also had a disappointing season. This is because the 21-year-old midfielder was expected to perform exceptionally well in the 2023-2024 season after his impressive performances at the U23 Southeast Asian Championship and the U21 National Championship.
However, in the past season, this young midfielder from Nam Dan only played a mere 404 minutes in the V.League. In addition, Dinh Xuan Tien also received an internal disciplinary penalty for violating the team's rules of conduct.

Leaving those disappointments behind, Song Lam Nghe An's number 10 needs to work harder in the new season to regain his best form. With that form, Dinh Xuan Tien will help improve the creativity of the Nghe An team, thereby strengthening their attack. This is also the same Dinh Xuan Tien who once earned effusive praise from coach Hoang Anh Tuan.
