(Baonghean.vn) - On January 5th, the entire Song Lam Nghe An team held a flower and incense offering ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square, officially launching their campaign for the 2017 season.

As in previous years, the send-off ceremony for the Nghe An football team was brief and simple, yet no less meaningful.

At the team's launch ceremony, General Director Nguyen Hong Thanh and Head Coach Nguyen Duc Thang, on behalf of the entire team, laid a wreath of fresh flowers to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh. They also pledged to play their best, honestly, and beautifully, with the highest determination to achieve the best results in the 2017 season.

Coach Nguyen Duc Thang said: “The whole team, as well as myself, are always determined to do our best. Playing with dedication to attract spectators to the stadium, restoring the identity and colors of Song Lam Nghe An, that is the goal we have set for ourselves right now.”

We want to send a message to the fans of Nghe An as well as the supporters of SLNA football team that, although there are still many things that haven't satisfied the home crowd, I hope the fans will support SLNA Club in any circumstances..."

Speaking on behalf of the players, captain Tran Nguyen Manh said: “As we prepare to enter the 2017 season, we are determined to play our best, striving every second and every minute to bring joy and excitement to our fans. SLNA will certainly face many difficulties, and I sincerely hope that the fans will stand by the team and help us overcome those challenges...”

Preparing for the 2017 season, SLNA Club promises positive changes with the return of familiar faces such as Sy Nam, The Cuong, Van Manh, Phuc Tinh... Especially noteworthy is the presence of coaches Nguyen Duc Thang and Nguyen Van Thinh on the coaching bench, and two new signings, Olaha and Henry, in the forward line.

Nevertheless, the fact that players like Dinh Hoang, Van Hung, etc., are still unable to return to training is not a major loss for the Nghe An team.

SLNA's first match in the 2017 V.League season will be an away game against FLC Thanh Hoa on January 8th. Tomorrow evening (January 6th), coach Nguyen Duc Thang and his team will travel to Thanh Hoa to prepare for this important match.
