Like every year, the departure ceremony of the Nghe An football team was short and simple but no less meaningful.

At the opening ceremony, General Director Nguyen Hong Thanh and Coach Nguyen Duc Thang, on behalf of the entire team, offered flowers to the soul of President Ho Chi Minh. At the same time, they vowed to play their best, honestly, and beautifully, with the highest determination to achieve good results in the 2017 season.

We would like to send a message to Nghe An fans as well as fans who love SLNA football team that, although there are still many things that have not satisfied the home audience, I hope the audience will support SLNA Club in any circumstances..."

On behalf of the players, captain Tran Nguyen Manh said: “Preparing for the 2017 season, we will be determined to play our best, try every second, every minute to bring joy and emotions to the fans. Surely SLNA will face many difficulties, and I really hope that the fans will accompany the team, overcome those challenges...”

Preparing for the 2017 season, SLNA Club promises to have positive changes with the return of faces such as Sy Nam, The Cuong, Van Manh, Phuc Tinh... Especially the presence of Coach Nguyen Duc Thang, Coach Nguyen Van Thinh on the coaching bench and 2 new recruits Olaha, Henry on the striker line.

However, players like Dinh Hoang, Van Hung... still cannot practice again, which is not a big loss for the Nghe An team.

SLNA's first match in V.League 2017 is an away match against FLC Thanh Hoa on January 8. Tomorrow evening (January 6), coach Nguyen Duc Thang and his team will travel to Thanh Hoa to prepare for this important match.
