(Baonghean.vn) - SLNA Club has officially signed a contract with striker Danko Kovacevic from Montenegro for the second half of the 2017 V.League season.

Yesterday afternoon (June 29th), SLNA Club officially signed a contract with striker Danko Kovacevic from Montenegro for the second half of the 2017 V.League season. Danko Kovacevic beat dozens of other candidates to be selected by the SLNA coaching staff.

This former Montenegro U19 international can play as both an attacking midfielder and a forward. Born in 1991, he previously played in the Greek, Serbian, and Montenegrin national leagues.

The 1.85m tall striker's best achievement in his professional career was scoring 16 goals for Iskra Danilovgrad in the 2015 national league season.

According to the SLNA coaching staff, Danko is the player who meets the criteria set by the team and is the most suitable for the current situation of the Nghe An team.

In the second half of the 2017 V.League season, Danko will wear the number 66 jersey. After completing the necessary procedures with SLNA Club, the striker immediately traveled to Ho Chi Minh City to join the team.

In Round 16 of the V.League 2017, SLNA will travel to Thong Nhat Stadium to face Ho Chi Minh City FC at 5:30 PM on July 2nd. This will be the debut match for the Montenegrin player in the SLNA jersey.
