SLNA terminates contracts with Odah and Baba.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 22nd, Mr. Ho Van Chiem, CEO of SLNA Club, announced that SLNA had terminated the contracts of two foreign players, Odah Mashal (Nigerian nationality) and Baba Salia (Ivory Coast).

Baba is not an unfamiliar name to fans of the Vinh-based team, as he played for SLNA in the second half of the 2015 season. Odah, on the other hand, was signed by SLNA at the start of the 2016 season with a salary of up to $8,000 per month. In the training tournaments before the start of the 2016 V.League season, Odah showed excellent goal-scoring ability. However, when the 2016 season began, both Odah and Baba failed to perform well. Baba was almost completely goalless throughout the season, while Odah's performance was inconsistent.

Despite playing very aggressively and scoring many decisive goals for SLNA, this foreign player's performance has been inconsistent.

Therefore, immediately after the end of the 2016 V.League season, SLNA Club terminated the contracts of Odah and Baba. Mr. Ho Van Chiem stated that for the upcoming 2017 season, SLNA will still prioritize finding two high-quality foreign players to strengthen the squad.
