On the morning of March 16th, the Nghe An Department of Tourism held a working session with the leaders of the Vinh City Party Committee and People's Committee regarding tourism development. Attending the working session, on the Vinh City side were: Mr. Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoai An - Deputy Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee. On the side of the Department of Tourism were Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department, along with leaders of specialized departments and the Tourism Information and Promotion Center. |
Located on the trans-Vietnam and trans-Asian transportation routes, Vinh City has a fairly comprehensive transportation infrastructure system, including train stations, seaports, and an international airport. This infrastructure is continuously being invested in and upgraded to meet the needs of tourists visiting provinces and cities throughout the country and some neighboring countries such as Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar.
Vinh City has been identified as the political, economic, and cultural center of Nghe An province and is progressing towards becoming the economic and cultural center of the North Central region.
The Director of the Nghe An Department of Tourism highly appreciated the city's efforts in investing in infrastructure and ensuring security and safety for tourists.

At the meeting, the Department of Tourism proposed several tasks and solutions for the future development of tourism in Vinh City, including: strengthening propaganda and raising awareness about the development and protection of the tourism environment; enhancing tourism promotion, connecting tours, routes, and travel agencies within the province and nationwide; attracting investment to develop a system of restaurants and cultural and culinary centers along the Lam River combined with cruise ships; serving local specialties, various beverages, and providing performances of folk songs, Ca Tru singing, and Phuong Vai singing; strengthening state management of tourism activities in the area and training and developing human resources for tourism management.
Specifically, the Department of Tourism proposed that the city coordinate the issuance of signage to standard-compliant service points (food and beverage establishments and shopping areas) to improve the quality of services for tourists.
