The Department of Transport donated 80 million VND to the impoverished Keng Du commune.
(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of September 25th, a delegation from the Provincial Department of Transport visited and presented gifts to impoverished households in Keng Du commune, Ky Son district.
In Keng Du commune, leaders of the Nghe An Department of Transport presented hundreds of gifts, including clothing and bicycles, to 240 students. They also donated two laptops, two televisions, and a computer and printer set to schools in the commune. The total value of the donations was 80 million VND.

Nearly 100% of the residents of Keng Du commune are Khmu ethnic minorities. Located 75 km from the center of Ky Son district, the area faces many difficulties in terms of living conditions and transportation. The commune has a high poverty rate, reaching 87%.

Following the province's policy of each agency and unit assisting one poor commune in western Nghe An, the Department of Transport has undertaken to support Keng Du commune with the hope of helping and sharing some of the difficulties faced by the people in this mountainous region.
