Summary of the first 5 years of the coordinated program for disseminating information about the sea and islands, giai đoạn 2019 - 2024

The conference comprehensively assessed the leadership and guidance in organizing and implementing coordinated propaganda activities on the sea and islands between the Party Committee and the Naval Command and the Provincial and City Party Committees directly under the Central Committee, as well as central agencies and media outlets nationwide; thereby proposing policies and solutions to further improve the quality of coordinated propaganda on the sea and islands in the current situation.

During the period 2019-2024, Nghe An, along with other provinces and cities nationwide, actively and comprehensively implemented solutions to carry out the resolutions and policies of the Party and the laws and regulations of the State on the sea and islands; issued many documents to lead and direct the implementation of tasks; established Steering Committees and Campaign Committees for the movements "Fund for Vietnam's Sea and Islands," "Fund for the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland," "Fund for Beloved Truong Sa," etc. Annually, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, in its role and responsibility as the standing agency, actively and proactively advised and assisted the Party Committee in developing and implementing plans to coordinate with the Navy to carry out specific activities, linked to the local political tasks.

Press agencies and units in the province have coordinated with the Navy to publicize many events, especially those related to the struggle to protect maritime sovereignty and islands; the outstanding achievements of the Vietnam People's Navy; defense diplomacy, search and rescue activities... creating a profound social impact among all strata of the population and overseas Vietnamese, and garnering support from countries and international organizations in the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.

The coordination of propaganda work on the sea and islands between the Party Committee and the Naval Command with the Provincial and City Party Committees directly under the Central Committee and central agencies, and press agencies has been implemented synchronously and comprehensively across many contents and fields, focusing on coordinating information and propaganda to contribute to raising awareness among all strata of the people and Vietnamese expatriates abroad about the position and role of the sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense.

At the same time, organize delegations to visit and encourage the military and civilians in Truong Sa and the officers and soldiers at the DK-I platform on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland; combine maritime and island propaganda with promoting the attraction of resources and focusing on training, consolidating, and improving the political skills and capabilities of the team of speakers at all levels...

At the conference, the Minister of National Defence and the Naval Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 113 collectives and 114 individuals for their outstanding achievements in coordinating the dissemination of information on the sea and islands during the period 2019-2024. In Nghe An province, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of National Defence; and the Propaganda, Press, and Publishing Department of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department received a Certificate of Merit from the Naval Command.
