The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports summoned B Ray for questioning regarding his misleading statements.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports stated that it has issued a stern warning to B Ray regarding the need to further enhance the sense of responsibility of artists towards their audiences in their performances and public conduct.

On the afternoon of September 5th, during a regular press conference held at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports responded to the issue regarding rapper B Ray's past posts containing inaccurate information.
According to a representative from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, after receiving reports about the controversial online statements made by rapper B Ray (real name Tran Thien Thanh Bao), the department held a meeting with B Ray and representatives from relevant authorities. During the meeting, B Ray explained that the statements occurred around 2015-2016 while he was abroad, and that he made the inappropriate remarks due to a lack of full understanding at the time.

Authorities further stated that after B Ray returned to Vietnam, he was summoned by relevant agencies for questioning and clarification of related issues. Following the discussion, the rapper realized that his previous statements were inaccurate, offensive, and had damaged his image in the eyes of the public; he also proactively deleted the content he had posted on his personal page.
"The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports has issued a stern warning to Mr. Tran Thien Thanh Bao regarding the need to further enhance the sense of responsibility of artists towards their audiences in performances and public conduct, complying with legal regulations and codes of conduct for artists to maintain a positive image of artists," the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports stated.
Based on its function of managing state activities and information on the cyberspace, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications is currently coordinating with relevant agencies to continue reviewing and taking specific measures when problems arise.

B Ray stated that he proactively worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Police from June 22nd, 2022, to acknowledge his past wrongdoings and take clear corrective measures.
