The Nghe An Department of Construction provides information on the project to build the Provincial Administrative Center.

Accordingly, on January 8, 2026, the Department of Construction of Nghe An province received a document from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province requesting information from the press and social media reflecting on the plan to build the Nghe An Provincial Administrative Center.

After reviewing the grounds and assigned tasks, the Department of Construction provides the following information: The construction of the Provincial Administrative Center was assigned by the People's Committee of Nghe An province to the Department of Construction to research and propose a location that is consistent with the urban spatial development orientation, meets the requirements of administrative reform, facilitates transportation connections, utilizes available land, and minimizes compensation and land clearance costs.

After review, the Provincial People's Committee approved the study of the land area located along the Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard, within Vinh Loc ward and Dong Loc commune, for the planning of the Provincial Administrative Center. To have a complete legal basis for implementing the next steps, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to organize the preparation of local adjustments to the planning in the aforementioned area, ensuring consistency across all planning levels.

Currently, the Department of Construction is implementing the local adjustment of the General Planning of Vinh City (formerly), Nghe An province, until 2030, with a vision to 2050, and simultaneously organizing the preparation of the zoning plan for both sides of the Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard in the area approved by the Provincial People's Committee. In parallel, the Department of Construction is coordinating with relevant units to research and propose a plan for the placement of headquarters of agencies and units expected to invest in construction in this area, as a basis for determining the investment scale, funding sources, and implementation roadmap, ensuring the consistency, effectiveness, and feasibility of the plan.

After the planning is approved and the investment plan is agreed upon, the Department of Construction will advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies to carry out investment, land, and construction procedures in accordance with the law to implement the project.
