V.League transfer market is bustling
V.League teams are actively completing their squads to achieve their goals this season. However, due to financial capacity, each team has a different move in the transfer market.
The most active in the V.League transfer market are the "rich" teams such as Hanoi Police or Nam Dinh Blue Steel. It is only natural that with strong financial potential, these two teams must add more personnel to compete on many fronts.
The reigning V.League champions have demonstrated their ambition by adding the trio of foreign players Joseph Mpande, Walber Motta and Caio César. Joseph Mpande has proven himself in the Hai Phong Club, while Walber Motta and Caio César are a duo who have played in top Brazilian leagues. They will combine with Rafaelson and Hendrio to create a quality framework for the team from Thanh Nam. With these formidable foreign players, coach Vu Hong Viet's team not only has the ambition to defend the V.League championship but also wants to go deep in the AFC Champions League Two.

Similar to Nam Dinh Blue Steel, Hanoi Police have also recruited high-quality new recruits to compete on three fronts. They are the "fragrant flower cluster" Alan Grafite, Leo Artur, Nguyen Van Duc and Tran Dinh Trong of Quy Nhon Binh Dinh. Among them, Alan Grafite and Leo Artur are the ones who contributed greatly to the 2nd place of the team from the land of Vo last season. Besides that, there is overseas Vietnamese player Jason Pendant, who used to play in the French second division or Vietnamese national player Nguyen Dinh Bac. Obviously, the army of coachMano Pölking is preparing quite carefully to return after an unsuccessful season.
Also soon to be finalized are the teams SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An or The Cong Viettel. We say quality because these foreign players have performed very well in the friendly matches before the season. In particular, the most prominent is Werick Caetano, a player who used to play for U19 Barca, who scored 3 goals in 2 friendly matches at the Thien Long Cup.

In contrast to the above teams, many teams have not yet been able to finalize foreign players. They are Becamex Binh Duong, Hong Linh Ha Tinh or Quy Nhon Binh Dinh. These teams are still actively trying out foreign players but have not yet been able to find the most suitable names. This will make the clubs passive in the preparation stage when the new season is near.
The most quiet team in the transfer market is the Thanh team. Although they have to participate in 3 fronts this season, Dong A Thanh Hoa has not made many moves in the transfer market. They even had to say goodbye to the domestic duo Hoang Dinh Tung and Nguyen Sy Nam. Perhaps, financial difficulties have made the Thanh team only able to rely on available human resources. However, they will be supplemented with quality young players from the U21 team, which won the 2023 National U19 Championship and finished 3rd in this year's National U21 Championship. This will help coach Velizar Popov feel somewhat secure.
The most prominent "blockbuster" of this year's transfer market is striker Augustine Chidi Kwem. This Nigerian striker joined Hanoi Club from the South African Premier League. This is a free transfer deal but Augustine's valuation is up to 850,000 Euros, the highest in V.League. However, last season, this 27-year-old striker only scored 8 goals in 28 matches. In general, striker Augustine Chidi Kwem only scored 28 goals in 128 matches, a not very impressive number.

Apart from the Nigerian striker, Mr. Hien's team has not added any other impressive names. Perhaps because they do not have to compete on too many fronts, Hanoi Club will prioritize using "homegrown players" this season to help these young players develop further. Anyway, with the available quality, the team from the capital will still be one of the strong candidates for this year's championship.
The V.League transfer market opens from August 15 to October 15, so from now until the end of the transfer market, there will still be many notable deals. That will create attractive competitions in this year's V.League./.
