The V.League transfer market is buzzing with activity.

The most active teams in the V.League transfer market are the "rich" clubs like Hanoi Police and Nam Dinh Steel. This is understandable, as with their strong financial resources, these two teams need to recruit many players to compete on multiple fronts.

The reigning V.League champions have demonstrated their ambition by adding a trio of foreign players: Joseph Mpande, Walber Motta, and Caio César. Joseph Mpande has already proven himself playing for Hai Phong Club, while Walber Motta and Caio César have previously played in top Brazilian leagues. They will combine with Rafaelson and Hendrio to form a high-quality squad for the Nam Dinh team. With these formidable foreign players, coach Vu Hong Viet's team not only aims to defend their V.League title but also wants to go far in the competition. AFC Champions League Two.

Similar to Nam Dinh Green Steel, Hanoi Police has also recruited high-quality new players to compete on three fronts. These include the "flower cluster" of Alan Grafite, Leo Artur, Nguyen Van Duc, and Tran Dinh Trong from Quy Nhon Binh Dinh. Alan Grafite and Leo Artur, in particular, contributed significantly to the Binh Dinh team's second-place finish last season. The quietest team in the transfer market is Thanh Hoa. Despite competing in three competitions this season, Dong A Thanh Hoa has made few moves in the transfer market. They even parted ways with domestic players Hoang Dinh Tung and Nguyen Sy Nam. Perhaps financial difficulties have forced the Thanh Hoa team to rely solely on their existing players. However, they will be reinforced with quality young players from the U21 team, the same team that won the 2023 National U19 Championship and finished third in this year's National U21 Championship. The most notable "blockbuster" transfer of this year's market is striker Augustine Chidi Kwem. The Nigerian forward joined Hanoi FC from the South African Premier League. This was a free transfer, but Augustine's valuation reached €850,000, the highest in the V.League. However, last season the 27-year-old striker only scored 8 goals in 28 matches. In total, Augustine Chidi Kwem only scored 28 goals in 128 matches, a rather unimpressive number.

Apart from the Nigerian striker, Mr. Hien's team hasn't added any other impressive names. Perhaps because they aren't competing on too many fronts, Hanoi FC will prioritize using homegrown talent this season to help these young players develop. Nevertheless, with their existing quality, the team from the capital city will still be one of the strong contenders for the championship this year.

The V.League transfer window is open from August 15th to October 15th, so there will still be many noteworthy deals between now and the end of the window. This will create exciting competition in this year's V.League.
