'Analyzing the match' of 3 young players recently promoted to the first team by Song Lam Nghe An.

With the aim of continuing to utilize players trained in the club's own academy, the coaching staff of the Vinh-based team has promoted players from the club's youth teams. This year,Lam River, Nghe AnThe decision was made to add three players from the U21 team: center-back Le Van Thanh, defender Vuong Van Huy, and forward Ngo Van Luong.

All three players are products of the Song Lam Nghe An youth football academy and have participated in numerous youth tournaments. Recently, two of these three players were part of the U21 Song Lam Nghe An team that won the Men's Football Championship at the National Sports Games.

Central defender Le Van ThanhHis strengths include good situational awareness and quick judgment. Although his appearance isn't ideal, Van Thanh is quite agile and can keep up well with taller, stronger strikers.

Forward Ngo Van LuongHe was formerly the captain of the Song Lam Nghe An youth team competing in the Vietnamese third division. In that league, Van Luong demonstrated his leadership role in the attack with 1 goal and 1 assist.

In the opening match of the V.League 2023, Ngo Van Luong came on as a substitute. In his 25 minutes on the field, he didn't make much of an impact. However, his energy and determination were highly appreciated by the spectators.

Vuong Van HuyConsidered a promising defender for SLNA, this young player was also the best player of the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament. After being recruited into the SLNA youth team, the player from Yen Thanh has made remarkable progress with his tenacious playing style, willingness to engage in tackles, and accurate crosses.

“I am fortunate to have been selected to join the first team. This will be an opportunity for me to continue striving on my path to professional football. After a short time training with the senior players, I find the style of play here much more demanding than when I was playing for the youth team. The ball handling requires players to be faster, more aggressive, and constantly anticipate and move. My physical fitness is not yet at its best, but I will work harder to improve this weakness and hope to play for Song Lam Nghe An in the near future.” – Vuong Van Huy shared.

After the first two matches in the V.League, the three newly promoted players to the first team haven't shown much promise. Coach Huy Hoang said: “We are gradually rejuvenating the squad and maintaining our policy of using players trained by the SLNA academy. These players, when given experience in a professional football environment, will quickly mature and contribute to the team. Besides, these players will also be mentored by older, more experienced players. This will be a good condition for them to gradually adapt and eventually take over their positions on the field.”
