Exciting spring rice planting competition in the highlands
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to promote the spirit of community solidarity and encourage farmers to apply scientific and technical advances in production, on February 4, Luc Da commune (Con Cuong) organized a spring rice planting competition.
This is an activity organized annually by the Women's Union of Luc Da commune at the beginning of the year and has attracted a large number of farmers to participate. This year's competition was held in Yen Hoa village with 4 teams from 4 villages: Moi, Xang, Trung Thanh and Yen Hoa. According to the regulations, each team sent 10 contestants to compete on an area of over 500m2.2with time 40 minutes.

Each competing team has 2 commune agricultural extension officers to supervise and guide the contestants on techniques. The requirements for the competing teams are to transplant quickly, straight, and correctly, ensuring a density of 35-40 clumps/m2, from 1-2 shoots/clump.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Moi village; the second prize to Trung Thanh village and the third prize to Xang village and Yen Hoa village.
