Exciting spring rice planting competition in the highlands.

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to foster community solidarity and encourage farmers to apply scientific and technological advancements to production, on February 4th, Luc Da commune (Con Cuong district) organized a rice planting competition for the spring crop.

This is an annual event organized by the Women's Association of Luc Da commune at the beginning of the year, attracting a large number of farmers to participate. This year's competition was held in Yen Hoa village with 4 teams from 4 villages: Moi, Xang, Trung Thanh, and Yen Hoa. According to the regulations, each team sent 10 contestants to perform the competition on an area of ​​over 500 square meters.²with a duration of 40 minutes.

Each participating team has two agricultural extension officers from the commune to supervise and guide the contestants on techniques. The requirements for the teams are to plant quickly, straight, and correctly, ensuring a density of 35-40 clumps/m².², 1-2 stems/clump.

At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to Moi village; the second prize to Trung Thanh village, and the third prize to Xang and Yen Hoa villages.
