(Baonghean.vn)-At the working session with the delegation of the Provincial People's Committee, Bishop Nguyen Thai Hop expressed: the incident at Yen Lac parish, Xuan Kieu parish is very regrettable and will cooperate with authorities at all levels to resolve the incident and soon stabilize the situation.
As reported by Nghe An newspaper, in recent days, at Yen Lac parish, Xuan Kieu parish (Nghi Kieu, Nghi Loc), hundreds of parishioners have broken down fences, cut down trees, encroached on land, and illegally opened roads in the campus of Cluster 1 - Nghi Kieu Kindergarten.

Following the working session with Assistant Bishop Nguyen Van Vien on the afternoon of October 7, on the morning of October 10, the working delegation led by Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a working session with Bishop of Vinh Diocese Nguyen Thai Hop to discuss and agree on a solution.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Xuan Dai requested the Bishop's Court to direct the parish priest of Xuan Kieu, the Pastoral Council and parishioners of Yen Lac parish to stop illegal activities, promptly remedy the consequences, and return the land of Cluster 1 of Nghi Kieu Commune Kindergarten to its original state as before October 5, 2015.
