On January 22, Son La province received 100,000 barcode stamps for tracing origin from the National Code and Barcode Center. However, Son La province is not required to affix the stamps for tracing origin to be allowed to trade peaches for Tet.

Mr. Ha Manh Hung - Deputy Director of Son La Department of Science and Technology said: On this occasion, it is estimated that about 10,000 people will be distributed.traceability stampfor registered households; all stamps issued during this period will be issued free of charge.

“Tracing the origin to increase the value of goods and products is the link to build a value chain in the production of goods, including agricultural products, especially towards international integration, non-tariff barriers (TBT) of countries importing goods from our country” - Mr. Ha Manh Hung said.

According to Mr. Ha Manh Hung, the application of barcode labels to trace the origin of cultivated peaches is part of the plan to implement Decision 100/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the Project to deploy, apply and manage the traceability system for goods.

Son La has selected peach trees for traceability during this Lunar New Year, in order to summarize, evaluate, and draw experience for implementation on other products, especially key OCOP products of Son La province; this is not an administrative procedure and does not require affixing traceability stamps to consume planted peach trees.
