(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of rehabilitation training at the PVF Youth Training Center, young midfielder Nguyen Van Duc's injury is progressing very well and he could potentially return in the second half of the 2020 V.League season.
Following the generation of talented players who won the 2012 National U17 Championship such as Van Khanh, Tuan Tai, and Van Duc, midfielder Nguyen Van Duc is one of the rare players born in 1998 and 1997 who has proven himself among the players of Nghe An province.
At the 2017 National U21 Championship, at the age of 19, Nguyen Van Duc played alongside Bui Dinh Chau in the central midfield position. It was a tournament where Van Duc and his senior teammates like Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh excelled, winning the Bronze Medal.

After a year playing for Ba Ria Vung Tau FC, he was included in the preliminary squad for the 2019 V.League by coach Nguyen Duc Thang. However, the player from Quynh Luu suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and missed his first opportunity.
In the 2020 V.League season, he suffered a recurrence of his injury and missed the opportunity to play in Vietnam's top football league. With central midfielders like Khắc Ngọc, Văn Bình, and Ngọc Toàn having left SLNA, this presented a great opportunity for young talents like Đức Ozil to showcase their abilities.

Currently, the SLNA player is receiving treatment for his injury at the PVF Center and may return during the second half of the V.League 2020 season. The young SLNA player stated: "My injury is progressing well and I can return to training with the club in about 4-6 weeks."
