Undercurrents are rising at MU, and a replacement for Mourinho has been identified.

Upon arriving at Old Trafford, Alexis Sanchez surpassed Paul Pogba to become Manchester United's highest-paid player (£350,000 per week). Furthermore, the Chilean star's presence in the attack has left Mourinho struggling with tactical options.

Pogba argues with manager Mourinho.

Moreover, even in the 0-2 defeat against Tottenham, observers began to notice dissatisfaction from a few players, especially Paul Pogba, Lingard, and Anthony Martial.

Alexis Sanchez was favored by Mourinho to start on the left wing. This forced Martial to move to the right wing, away from his preferred position. Throughout the 90 minutes at Wembley, the young French talent played very individually, rarely combining with his teammates, much to Mourinho's anger.

For over an hour on the pitch, Pogba refused to drop back and support Matic in the central midfield. Mourinho called him aside to remind him, but he ignored him. Ultimately, the Portuguese manager decided to replace his favorite player with Fellaini.

Lingard threw his shirt away after being substituted.

As for Lingard, when he was substituted, he clearly showed his displeasure. The 25-year-old midfielder even acted inappropriately by throwing his jacket in the technical area.

Before today's match against Huddersfield, Mourinho has a lot of work to do, from stabilizing the players' morale and quelling any potential rebellion, to arranging the personnel and tactics appropriately with the addition of new player Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal are competing with PSG for Oblak.

Following the changes in the attacking line during the winter transfer window, manager Wenger is planning to recruit a quality goalkeeper to replace Petr Cech next summer.

Oblak is on Arsenal's radar.

Cech is 35 years old this year and it's difficult for him to maintain peak performance. Most recently, the Czech goalkeeper made a costly mistake leading to a goal conceded against Swansea.

According to the London Evening Standard, the French manager, who greatly admires Jan Oblak, may well spend big to bring the Slovenian goalkeeper to the Emirates Stadium, despite fierce competition from PSG.

In addition, Arsenal have also placed an order for Malcom from Bordeaux. This left-footed midfielder is valued at around £45 million and is quite excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League.

MU boss targets Pochettino to replace Mourinho.

Despite having just given "the Special One" a new contract that runs until 2020, the top figures at Old Trafford are still closely monitoring Mauricio Pochettino's every move.

Pochettino has the potential to replace Mourinho in the future.

Tottenham's victory over Manchester United midweek further enhanced Pochettino's image. The Argentinian manager has been quite successful in building a young, attractive, and ambitious team.

Besides interest from MU, Real Madrid are also considering inviting Pochettino if Zidane fails to revive Real this season.

In a recent statement, Pochettino affirmed that he is happy at Tottenham. However, he also did not rule out the possibility of moving to a new environment if he felt it was a good fit.
