Sony WF-1000XM6: Color options and release date revealed.
Leaked information from multiple sources suggests that the Sony WF-1000XM6 headphones will be introduced in Q1 2025 with two color options: black and silver.
Sony's next-generation premium wireless earbuds, the WF-1000XM6, are rumored to launch in early 2025 in two color options: black and silver. This information comes from multiple leaked sources, including regulatory databases and component websites, providing a first glimpse into the successor to the WF-1000XM5.
First evidence of the WF-1000XM6
According to Notebookcheck, signs of the Sony WF-1000XM6's existence have appeared on multiple platforms. Initially, information about the product was inadvertently added to Sony's Sound Connect app before being removed. Prior to this, the headphones were also discovered in the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database with model number YY2985.

Two color options and a release timeframe.
The most notable information comes from the component website Encompass Parts, which has listed details about the WF-1000XM6. This website confirms that Sony plans to offer the next-generation true wireless earbuds in two familiar color options: black and silver, similar to its predecessors.
Furthermore, Encompass Parts also provided an important detail regarding the timing. The website states that replacement parts for the headphones will be shipped on February 27, 2026. Based on industry practice, preparing replacement parts well in advance is usually a sign that a product will be launched soon. This reinforces the prediction that the Sony WF-1000XM6 could be unveiled in the first quarter of 2025.

Although Sony hasn't made any official announcement, continuous leaks suggest that the WF-1000XM6's launch date is approaching. Users can expect an improved version of the company's already successful active noise-canceling headphone line.
