The blind Bulgarian prophet became a legendary figure for making accurate predictions about the future of the world, particularly the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the US. According to the Birmingham Mail, the prophet predicted, "Everything will melt like ice, like frozen water, only one will remain intact – the glory of Vladimir, the glory of Russia. No one can stop Russia, many will leave, but whoever remains will be the God of the world."
According to many sources, in 1979, the Soviet writer Valentin Sidorov visited Baba Vanga. Sidorov recounted the entire meeting in his book "Lyudmila and Vanga," published in Bulgaria in 1995. In this book, Sidorov recounts Baba Vanga's words as follows: "Everything will melt, like ice, only one thing will remain – the glory of Vladimir, the glory of Russia." Baba Vanga said that in 2016 Europe would become a wasteland and then Russia would become the "ruler of the world," unopposed.
Many British newspapers believe that Baba Vanga was referring to the current Russian president, Vladimir Putin. However, recently, some researchers on Russia, including Vietnamese people knowledgeable about Russia, have questioned whether the person named "Vladimir" that Baba Vanga mentioned was actually Duke Vladimir Svyatolavich, Duke of Novgorod, also known as Vladimir the Great or Vladimir the Red Sun, who lived in the late 10th and early 11th centuries. He played a major role in the introduction and strong development of Orthodox Christianity in Russia. The "Great Encyclopedia of Vanga" also notes that Vladimir was indeed Duke Vladimir, as noted by the writer Sidorov.
Although many British newspapers frequently quote Baba Vanga's predictions, not everyone believes that the quoted predictions are genuine, and even if they are, not all of her predictions were accurate. Furthermore, the key figures in the predictions attributed to Baba Vanga by the media, such as Russian President Putin, US President Trump, and former President Obama, have remained silent on this information.
One of Baba Vanga's most memorable inaccurate predictions was: In 1978, the prophetess Vanga predicted that World War III would occur. This war began in November 2010 and ended in October 2014.
Vanga predicted that armed conflict in South Ossetia and the Islamic world, along with assassinations of leaders and heads of state, would trigger a world war in 2010. Starting with conventional warfare, it would escalate to nuclear and chemical warfare, leading to a global catastrophe, the extinction of humanity, and the destruction of all life on Earth. Finally, she concluded that this war would end completely in October 2014.
