The truth about the woman suspected of kidnapping children in Nam Dan.

(Baonghean.vn) - Following a viral video on social media showing a woman being apprehended by residents of Nam Dan district on the afternoon of June 24th for allegedly kidnapping children, the police force of Nam Thai commune went to the scene and brought the woman to the commune's People's Committee office for questioning.

Upon verification, the woman's name was identified as Nguyen Thi Huong, residing in Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province, but her specific hamlet and commune were unknown. Immediately afterward, the commune authorities contacted several relevant agencies in Nam Dinh province to clarify the information.

On the morning of June 25th, upon receiving the information, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong's family went directly to work with the Nam Thai commune police, presenting all relevant documents related to the woman in question.

She is Nguyen Thi Huong, the wife of Nguyen Van Chien from Hamlet 8, Hai Trung Commune, Hai Hau District, Nam Dinh Province. She left home two years ago due to a mental illness, and her family has searched for her many times without success.

Previously, a video went viral on Facebook showing residents apprehending a woman accused of kidnapping children in the area. In the clip, a man is seen sitting on top of the woman, holding a sharp knife to her neck, and questioning her about how she kidnapped children and how many she had abducted.

The Nam Dan District Police said that people need to be vigilant, but if they suspect anyone of kidnapping children or committing crimes, they should proactively report it to the nearest police station. At the same time, people should not threaten, interrogate, or beat suspects with knives when they suspect them of committing crimes. Social media platforms should not post misleading content that causes public panic.
