For refrigerators, if the defroster is broken, it costs 250,000-400,000 VND to replace, and replacing the compressor (starter) costs from 800,000 VND to 1.2 million VND" - Mr. Linh shared.

Mr. Hai, the owner of an electrical appliance repair business in Nam Thanh commune, said: In recent years, because the low-voltage power lines in this area have been renovated and the electricity is stable, people have bought a lot of electrical appliances. Since the beginning of this summer, I have installed over 100 new air conditioners, 120 water purifiers, and many washing machines, refrigerators, etc. for the southern part of Yen Thanh district. Normally, to install a new air conditioner, the installation cost and profit are 300,000 VND/unit. In addition to installing new equipment, the electrical appliance repair work is quite busy.

Currently, many refrigeration repair facilities in Yen Thanh also provide vocational training for workers.

"Refrigeration repair is a seasonal job, working for one season but "earning" all year. This hot season, we have repaired and maintained over 20 freezers, ice makers, and ice cream makers. Mainly repairing broken compressors, gas leaks, weak refrigerators, not cold... In addition, fixing problems with air conditioners, gas stoves, and cooling fans, peak monthly income reaches 15-18 million VND/month." - Mr. Hai said.

Some refrigeration repair facilities in Cau Giat town - Quynh Luu have workers who can't keep up with the work.

The same is true in Dien Chau, Quynh Luu districts and other areas. Many refrigeration maintenance workers in Dien Chau can earn from 1 million to 2 million VND per day. My facility has 3 workers, working non-stop. Every day, we can maintain and repair 15-20 machines from air conditioners, refrigerators, and coolers. The cost of repairing air conditioners is from 200,000 - 250,000 VND/machine, maintenance is 100,000 VND/machine".

People's lives are increasingly developing, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. are no longer luxury devices, many people in rural areas can buy them.
